Natural Ways To Reduce Sweating

Nobody likes to sweat, talk less of sweat excessively. Excessive sweating can really be embarrassing especially when you are in the midst of family, friends or even colleagues.

Let’s take a look at some natural ways to reduce sweating and avoid any form of embarrassment.

Drink enough water

Drinking enough water helps to regulate the body temperature. When you are hydrated, you are cooler and you will sweat less. So it is advisable to drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

Reduce your alcohol consumption

If you are the type who loves to consume lots of alcohol, you should try cutting down on your alcohol intake especially at night. Excess alcohol intake at night will lead to sweating the next morning, as your body tries to rid itself of the toxins.

Cut down on caffeine

You should try cutting down on how many cups of coffee you drink in a day as that should help reduce how much you sweat. Caffeine is a strong stimulant which causes the release of adrenaline which will make you to sweat.

 

Wear natural fabrics

You should select and wear natural and breathable fabrics like cotton and linen that do not trap heat and moisture of sweat. Cotton and linen allows air to circulate as well reduce sweating.

Take regular baths

You should endeavour to take your bath at least 2-3 times daily to reduce how you sweat.

Avoid spicy foods

Avoid eating spicy foods as it can increase the amount of sweat you produce. Also avoid eating foods such as garlic and onions, as the strong odours associated with these foods can come out through your sweat.

Apple cider vinegar

Applying apple cider vinegar under your arms before bedtime helps to balance out the PH in your skin, to help reduce sweat the following day. That’s why it is considered one of the best home remedies for excessive sweating.

Lime juice

To control excessive sweating and keep you fresh, you can also cut one lime into half and gently rub under your arms. But ensure there are no sores under your arm.
