All is now set for the 2020 edition of the annual National Women and Girl-Child conference put together by Jashabel Touch-A-Heart foundation(JTAH Foundation), a Lagos-based non-governmental organization that sees to the well-being of women and the girl-child.
The event which comes up at the prestigious Planet One, Maryland has as its theme ”raising a 21st century child in a digitalized world will seek to find the pathway for raising a respectful, diligent, hardworking , brilliant, forward-thinking and tech-savvy child in this digital age.
The keynote speaker of the day, Mrs Modupe Adeyinka-Oni,the founder and principal of Standard Bearers Schools,Lekki and two set of panelists will discuss the theme and find ways of raising a good child in this digital age.
Speaking about the event,the Executive Director of Jashabel Touch-A-Heart foundation(JTAH Foundation), Favour Benson pointed out that this year’s event apart from dwelling on the theme of the discourse will also honour some outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of human endeavours; notable amongst these are the Yeye Oge of Lagos,Chief Mrs Opral Benson,the Obateru Of Egbin Kingdom, His royal majesty Oba Adeoriyomi Abdul-Akeem Oyebo, M-Net/AfricaMagic Regional Director,Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, veteran Nollywood Producer & Director- Emem Isong, Olympian Chioma Ajunwa and others.
Speaking further, Benson reiterated the fact that everyone is duty-bound to ensure a smooth and balanced upbringing/education of the girl child as the womenfolk are the nucleus of any society.
