Kanye West will join the list of prestigious artists like Madonna, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, David Bowie, Justin Timberlake, the Beastie Boys and the King of Pop himself when he receives the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV’s Video Music Awards.
The rapper has performed at the popular award show several times in the last few years and been nominated in various categories 32 times. But sadly, he has only taken home two Moon Men. This year the network has decided to honour him with this prestigious award.
According to MTV, the “All Day” Rapper will be taking the stage during the VMAs to accept the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for his contributions to the music business.
The 2015 MTV VMA’s will air on Sunday, August 31 on MTV at 9 p.m. EDT. The award show will be hosted by Miley Cyrus.
