Glamtush reports that Morocco has announced the selection of nine stadiums across six cities to host the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals, billed to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
This online news platform understands that the announcement was made on Monday by the country’s local organizing committee, just hours before the tournament draw.
Selected Venues
Four of the stadiums will be located in the capital city, Rabat. The grand final and opening match will be played at the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah, a 69,500-capacity stadium that will also host one of the semifinals. The renovated stadium in Tangier will share semifinal duties.

Morocco’s Future Stadium Plans
Looking ahead to co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup with Spain and Portugal, Morocco has revealed plans for a 115,000-seater mega stadium to be constructed near Casablanca by 2027. Estimated at $500 million, this stadium will rank among the largest in the world and is anticipated to host the World Cup final.

In preparation for the 2025 AFCON, Morocco is renovating key stadiums in Rabat and Tangier. Post-tournament, further upgrades are planned for stadiums in Agadir, Fes, and Marrakech to align with Morocco’s long-term vision for hosting major global tournaments.
