Mohbad: MTV Base Bans Marlian Music

MTV Base has banned Marlian Music over Mohbad’s death.

Glamtush reports that MTV Base, an international music channel, has joined the growing list of music outlets that have placed a ban on Marlian music following the death of a Nigerian singer, Mohbad.

This online platform recalls that Marlian Music is a record label owned by Nigerian musician, Naira Marley, who is being fingered in the travails of Mohbad, which allegedly led to the latter’s eventual demise.

Following the uproar over the controversial death of Mohbad, a number of radio stations around the country decided to place a “Not to Be Broadcast” (NTTB) ban on all the songs under the Marlian Records Label.

In a post shared on his X, Ehiz wrote: “MTVbase dropped everything Marlian. Kudos to dem.”

This development was announced by popular TV host, Ehizojie Okoeguale aka DadaBoy Ehiz, on Wednesday.
