Mohammed Fawehinmi Buried Beside Father, Amid Tears

Mohammed Fawehinmi has been buried.

Glamtush reports that the son of the late human rights lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi, Mohammed, was buried in his hometown, Ondo, Ondo State on Friday, amid tears by family members, friends and well-wishers.

The deceased was buried beside the tomb of his father and grandmother at their hometown.

Among the dignitaries who attended the programme were a former governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, the National Chairman of the National Conscience Party, Mr Tanko Yinusa, friends of the deceased and members of the civil society groups across the country.

A funeral service was held for the late legal practitioner at the Fawehinmi’s compound.

Speaking during the service, a clergyman, Prophet Stephen Robert, described death as a necessary end for every human being, saying everybody must work in the way of God

“Late Mohammed stood against injustice while he was alive,” Robert stated.

In his remarks, a former governor of the state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, said the deceased stood against injustice and never allowed his disability to weigh him down at any point in time.

He said, “Mohammed resembled his father, Gani Fawehinmi, in everything. He stood against injustice and helped the masses. He will be remembered for his uncommon love for members of his family and the people.”
