U.S. First Lady, Melania Trump will be visiting four African countries next month on her highly anticipated first solo international trip to Africa
The four African countries are Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt.
The First Lady said her trip which is set to commence on October. 1, will take her to “four beautiful and very different countries in Africa.’
She made the itinerary announcement in front of a room full of the spouses of U.N. leaders who are currently meeting at the General Assembly in New York alongside the first ladies of Ghana, Kenya and Malawi.
All four countries receive U.S. aid, with Egypt receiving large sums of military aid in addition to humanitarian and development assistance.
Although Melania has traveled internationally with her husband across the globe, this is her first time flying solo on official FLOTUS duty.
