Made Kuti Set To Perform Solo Show At Terra Kulture

Made Kuti, son of Afro beat legend, Femi Kuti, is using the success of his last headline performance at The New African Shrine to organize a unique event dubbed, “An Evening With Made Kuti.”

The VIP event will take place on Friday, July 2 at Victoria Island’s Terra Kulture Arena, which is equipped for the occasion.

Made Kuti gets to introduce his own band, The Movement, to a colourful crowd that includes his increasing young army of fans, music enthusiasts, brands, and diplomats, among others, for his second solo headline show.

‘An Evening With Made Kuti,’ produced by FK Management, is made possible with the support of Legend Extra Stout, Mainstreet Capital, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, and the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS).

“The goal is to expand my performance beyond the New Afrika Shrine and provide possibilities for new fans and brands to experience my art,” Made explains.

This unique event generates high-quality engagements and reaches out to a diverse audience of young adults, business professionals, and expats who like Afrobeat and support the “Fela Kuti legacy.”

In April, the grandson of Fela Kuti and son of Femi Kuti provided a taste of what’s to come when he performed his debut gig with his newly formed band, The Movement, at The New African Shrine. Made’s single, “Free Your Mind,” and his excellent rendition of Fela’s “Trouble Sleep” were among the tunes they played together.

In February 2021, the multi-talented instrumentalist issued his debut album, ‘For(e)ward,’ which was packaged with his father’s album, ‘Stop the Hate.’ Both albums are part of a double album called ‘Legacy+,’ which consists of two sides.

Made appears on both albums, playing bass on ‘Stop the Hate’ and all of the instruments on ‘For(e)ward.’
