Glamtush reports that the Kwara State government, on Tuesday, warned civil servants in the state against leakage of official information to the public and media.
The state government threatened the full wrath of the law against anyone found flouting the civil service rule of confidentiality.
The State Head of Service, Susan Modupe Oluwole, issued the warning in Ilorin on Tuesday, in a statement she signed.
The statement said the HoS, “has observed with consternation, the leaking of government official information to the public by some civil servants in the state.
“Again, some others have, of recent, engaged in discussing official government matters in the media without appropriate authorization.
“This unwholesome act goes against the public service rule which every civil servant took an oath to protect and abide with.”
The HoS, “reiterated that the state government will no longer tolerate such disservice and unpatriotic attitude and therefore warned those involved to henceforth, desist or face the full wrath of the law.”
