The Tiv people in Lagos have taken the initiative to bring their cultural heritage to the doorsteps of their members, friends, and associates in Lagos.
The first Lagos unveiling of Kyegh Sha Shwa (KSS) Cultural Festival comes up on November 23, at 81 Division Officers’ Mess, Onikan, Lagos by 5 pm prompt.
A press release signed by the Chairperson of the Planning Committee, Mimi Atedze, indicates that the event will feature activities targeting the resuscitation of cultural values and practices that promotes unity, love and consanguineous engagements embodied by our unique identity.
While also using the opportunity of KSS unveiling ceremony to raise fund for the activities of the main festival which will hold in Gboko, Benue State on December 26 and 27, Atedze disclosed that Kyegh Sha Shwa Festival is a Socio-Cultural event, aimed at bridging the gaps of division, and offering a platform for sustainable community building through reconciliation and unity of purpose.
The event will feature a rich display of Tiv Culture forms including Folklore, folk music, and singing, dance, and food exhibition.
