The abductors of the paramount Ruler of Jaba Chiefdom, Danladi Gyet Maude, have demanded N100 million as ransom for the release of the Kaduna monarch.
The Monarch was abducted by gunmen while on his farm located at Gitata community of Nasarawa state, which shares boundary with Jaba in Kaduna state on Monday, July 27.
According to reports, the 80-year-old royal father was in the farm with his driver and a security guard but he was picked and whisked away by the gunmen leaving the two.
Barely 24 hours after the abduction, the abductors contacted a family member on Tuesday demanding N100 million to free the first class, traditional ruler.
A close family member, who preferred not to be mentioned, confirmed the demand.
However, on Tuesday, Governor El-Rufai disclosed that his government is working closely with the Nasarawa state government to rescue a kidnapped monarch.
