The Kaduna State Government has lifted the curfew in Kaduna metropolis and environs with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement made available by Mr Samuel Aruwan, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, on Tuesday.
Aruwan said the night-time curfew, which had subsisted in the city since Oct. 31, has now been removed.
According to him, residents are now free to go about their legitimate businesses any time of the day.
He, however, said that a security review has determined that curfew hours be retained in Kujama, Kasuwan Magani and Kachia towns in the state.
He added that the night-time curfew in Kachia is from 10 pm to 6 am, while for Kasuwan Magani and Kujama, the curfew remains from 5pm to 6am
According to him, the Kaduna State Security Council commended residents for upholding the peace and urges them to continue to cooperate with all security agencies on the ground.
