#JusticeForUwa: Edo Police Arrest One Suspect
The Police in Edo State have arrested one suspect linked to the rape and gruesome murder of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a student of University of Benin (UNIBEN) who was attacked inside a Redeemed Christian Church of God parish in Benin.
The 22-year-old 100-level student of the UNIBEN was raped and killed while reading inside the church.
Spokesman of Edo police command, Chidi Nwabuzor confirmed the arrest while speaking to newsmen. He said the suspect was arrested after the deceased was rushed to the hospital and the fingerprint on the fire extinguisher she was attacked with was examined.
Nwabuzor said the arrest was carried out by the Area Commander of Ikpoba Hill who mobilized his men to the area.
