JUST IN: Many Injured As Train Crushes Lagos Govt Staff Bus

Many have been injured as a train crushed a Lagos govt staff bus.

 

Glamtush reports that an unspecified number of people have been injured after a Lagos State Government staff bus with registration no 04A- 48LA was on Wednesday morning crushed by a moving train at PWD, Ikeja area of Lagos.

This online platform understands that the incident happened around after 7 am on Thursday.

The Director, the Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed the accident in a statement.

“The accident recorded many casualties as the staff bus is fully loaded with govt staff going to the office this morning,” the statement added.

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Taofiq Adebayo, said a rescue operation was ongoing.
