Glamtush reports that a Lagos lawmaker who represented Mushin constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Abdulsobur Olayiwola Olawale has died.
This online platform understands that Olawale, popularly known as Omititi died in Jos, Plateau State, on Tuesday.
According to a source within the APC in the state confirmed that Olawale slumped during the APC rally in Plateau and was confirmed dead at the hospital where he was rushed to.
The APC had held a campaign inauguration in Plateau for its presidential candidate and running mate, Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, respectively, on Tuesday.
Hon. (Engr) Setonji David, Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Information, Strategy and Security in a signed statement confirmed Omititi’s death.
With the title, ‘SAD: WE LOST HON. ABDUL-SOBUR OLAWALE’, he stated that Olawale’s death hits below the belt.
The statement read, “It is with deep sadness, sense of loss and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our colleague and friend, Hon. Abdulsobur Olayiwola Olawale (alias OMITITI) representing Mushin Constituency 02 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, who passed on today.
“Hon. Olawale was until his untimely demise the Chairman House Committee on Local Government and Community Relations, a second term lawmaker left us unexpectedly and threw the who House into mourning.
“This death really hit us below the belt. We will all miss him more than words can express. We urge you to join us in prayers for his family at this time. Thank you.”
