Glamtush reports that popular American singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez, also known as J.Lo, has filed for divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck.
Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck, 52, on Tuesday, August 20, after more than two years of being married.
Lopez filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024 as the date of separation. She filed for divorce herself without using a lawyer and is technically self-represented. Although they married in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022, August 20 marked the second anniversary of the traditional wedding ceremony in Georgia.
Lopez and Affleck famously rekindled their romance in 2021, more than 17 years after they initially were engaged and postponed a planned September 2003 wedding. The pair officially broke up for the first time in January 2004 and remained friendly in the decade-plus between.
Recall that the 55-year-old actress married singer Marc Anthony in 2004. In 2005 Affleck married actress Jennifer Garner.
The singer and actress shares twins Max and Emme, 16, with Marc Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2014. Affleck, who was previously married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, shares three children with Garner: Violet Anne, 18, Seraphina Rose, 15, and Samuel, 12.
This was Lopez fourth marriage and the second for actor Affleck, 52.
