JAMB has released the 2024 UTME results.

Glamtush reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.

This Nigeria news platform understands that over 1.94 million candidates registered and sat for the examination in 118 towns and over 700 centres across the country.

While announcing the results in Bwari, Abuja, on Monday, the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, said a total of 1,989,668 candidates registered for the examination, representing 24.7 per cent higher than the figure for the year 2023.

He noted that of the 1,989,668 registered, 1,904,189 were present and verified, 2,899 were present but unverified, 80,810 were absent.

How to Check JAMB Result 2024 Online Via SMS

All candidates can now send UTMERESULT, via SMS, to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration (you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line). The result would be replied to you as an SMS shortly after.

The following are the responses to be expected:

1. If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a message will be sent to him thus: ‘This phone number was not used for registration.”
2. A candidate with a result will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… (and the details will be provided).

If a result is withheld, a “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidate.
If a candidate belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt, the message to the person will be: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
If a candidate was absent, s/he would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback
A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.
“Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall.

How Many Times Can I Check My JAMB Result?

You can check your result on the JAMB results checker portal unlimited times (as much as you want).

There are no restrictions or limits for checking results on www.jamb.gov.ng or www.jamb.org.ng (JAMB’s former website domain).
