Nigeria is presently going through difficult times especially in the area of petroleum products.
Just recently there was scarcity due to adulterated fuel that hit the market and now again, there is scarcity due to reasons unknown the public.
Due to this, transportation has been difficult for Nigerians and prices of commodities have also increased as it is a known fact that a change in petroleum price automatically affects the prices of essential commodities in the country.
Popular prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church had warned some months back that there will be an increase in fuel price as he foresees fuel scarcity and he also mentioned that prices that it will be sold. Apart from fuel, the man of God said diesel will begin to sell between N800 and N1000.
These were his words, ‘’An economic disaster is coming very soon, before the end of this year. It will be so grave that we will revert back to the days of Austerity measures. Diesel will sell for as high as N800 to N1000 per litre. Petrol will become scarce and, at the end of the day, it will move up to N300 per litre. Things will become extremely difficult for Nigerians. The truth is that Nigeria’s reserve is in red. The country is in massive debt.’’
At the moment, the normal pump price of petrol in Nigeria is N165/Ltr but due to the scarcity that has been happening in the last few days, Prices have gone about N200/ltr and marketers have said they won’t be selling at N165 any more. What this means is the price will be increased but to what? We don’t know yet. Will it then be increased to N300 as Primate Ayodele prophesied? We will keep fingers crossed but his prophecies have already been fulfilled with the scarcity and increase in price, the government just need to kick into action to ensure it doesn’t get to N300/ltr.
On diesel price, currently, it sells for N800/ltr in the country which is also subject to increment in the coming days. Primate Ayodele’s prophecy has been fulfilled already but the government still has a part to play to ensure it doesn’t reach N1000/ltr as the man of God had warned.
