Ignore Fake Photos Of Royal Baby Circulating On Social Media – Warns Ooni’s Palace
The palace of the Ooni of Ife has warned against sharing of fake pictures of the new born son of the royal household, as doing so might constitute invasion of privacy, an actionable offence.
This was contained in a statement by the Director of Media, Ooni’s Palace, Moses Olafare, on Tuesday.
Olafare in a statement explained that Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, who had the sole right to make the face of the baby public is yet to do so.
He urged the public to ignore the pictures circulating on social media.
The statement reads in parts, “His father, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, who has the sole right to make the face of the baby public, is yet to do so, as essential traditional rites to formally welcome the prince in accordance to our culture and traditions are still ongoing.”
