Glamtush reports that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu said as vice president of Nigeria under former president Olusegun Obasanjo, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, would have been dealt with but his intervention saved Atiku’s life.
This online platform gathered that the former governor of Lagos State said this on Monday, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, at his presidential campaign rally.
Speaking on why Nigerians should trust him, Tinubu said, “I am the one that rescued him (Atiku) from Obasanjo who wanted to roast him like goat meat.
“He ran away to Dubai, and when the election came again, he (Atiku) came for stomach infrastructure. We rehabilitated him in Lagos and gave him a ticket but he wasted it and used it to collect money.”
Tinubu described Atiku as a failure stating, “he faced Obasanjo, faced Buhari and failed. He failed with Jonathan. He failed in all his subjects.”
He told Akwa Ibom residents that if they vote for the former vice president, he would sell all palm plantations in their state.
He promised that if elected he will turn their lives around. “The power to become President resides in you. ‘Emilokan’ (this is my turn) and God will give you the power to make it realizable through your PVCs. So, if you don’t have it, go and get it because if God blesses me as your next President, you will be put in proper places. But, If you give him (Atiku) a chance, he will sell your palm trees and run to Dubai,” Tinubu added.
