Tips to apply your false eyelashes like a professional
Choose the right lash colour
Many women choose between colour black and brown. If you want false lashes for an everyday look, then, opt for brown. However, if you are the type of woman who like to add glamour and drama to your look, then, black is a better choice. That said, to choose the right lash colour, hold lashes of different shades next to your face to see which best complements your skin tone.
Measure and trim false lash
False lash strips come in one size. So, measure your false lashes and trim them to fit your lids. You could also cut strip lashes in two or three sections before sticking them on for a more natural look and an easier application process.
Apply lash adhesive/glue
Apply a very thin layer of lash glue to the top of the strip and wait for 15 to 30 seconds so that the glue will become stickier and also grip lashes better.
Hold strip ends and press
Holding the lash strip by its ends with your fingers instead of tweezers, carefully line it up with your natural lashes and press it in. It should stick to your natural lashes, not to the skin on your upper waterline. Pinch the falsies to your real lashes and hold until you get a good bond. To get the effect of an eye lift, place your outer lashes slightly above your lash line.
Add mascara to lashes
Adding a coat of mascara will help to blend your false and real lashes. Many women believe that mascara works to strengthen natural lashes.
However, in case you notice any gap, then, liquid eyeliner will help to bridge the gap between your falsies and your real lash line.
Remove and Store
When you are ready to remove your fuller faux lashes, simply tug the ends of the falsies to loosen them. But if they refuse to come off, add a few drops of oil or makeup remover to a cotton bud and swipe it along your lash line.
When you take off your lashes, the first thing you’ll notice is the gunky mixture of glue and eye makeup that’s stuck along the band. Hence, it is key that you remove your eyelash glue using your fingers.
Hold the lashes gently in one hand and pull at the glue on the base with the other. Repeat process until lashes is clean. Then store away so that it can be reused.
