Hoodlums Invade Abuja NYSC Camp, Cart Away Mattresses, Others
Some hoodlums on Tuesday morning broke into the Orientation Camp of the National Youth Corps in Kubwa, Abuja.
The thugs armed with knives and other sharp objects blocked the road and ordered motorists to turn back.
They were seen coming out of the premises with mattresses, plastic chairs and other items.
Residents in the neighbourhood also took advantage of the unrest to participate in the looting.
Meanwhile, gunshots rent the air of the camp as soldiers attempt to scare away the looters.
It was gathered that looters who were mainly youths gained access into the premises by scaling the fence catching the soldiers guarding the facility by surprise.
Later, The Nigeria Air Force deployed three helicopters to tackle looters that descended on NYSC orientation camp in Kubwa, an Abuja suburb, in the early hours of Tuesday.
The helicopters were seen around 10:00 am hovering around the orientation camp. It was unclear if the helicopters touched down on the premises or the identity of the security agents they conveyed.
