‘He’s One Of Our Own’ – OGIRS Tussles With LIRS Over Laycon’s Tax
The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) has engaged the Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) in a tussle for the tax of Laycon, winner of this year’s edition of BBNaija.
Laycon, whose real name is Olamilekan Agbelesebioba, won the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality television show’s N85 million grand prize on Sunday night.
Less than 24 hours after he was declared winner, the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) had in its congratulatory message to the ‘Fierce’ crooner, reminded him of his tax.
There was however drama on Tuesday as the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) took to its Twitter page to call Laycon one of its own in another tax reminder.
“The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) is delighted to congratulate one of our own in the State, Olamilekan Agbelesebioba, AKA @itsLaycon for emerging winner of @BBNaija Lockdown. We look forward to having a robust relationship with you in year 2021 as you pay your tax.,” the tax agency wrote.
