Glamtush reports that former Lawmaker, Ben Murray Bruce has urged President Bola Tinubu, to issue an executive order halting all international travel of Federal government officials for one year except on special approval for matters of critical national interest.
This online news platform learnt that the businessman stated this in a post via his X handle on Monday.
He advised that the international ban should apply to the entire federal cabinet and all civil servants except on special approvals.
Murray Bruce explained that the international ban would not apply to External Affairs, Finance, and National Security.
The post reads, “President Bola Tinubu should issue an executive order to halt all international travel for one year for everyone in the federal government unless he grants special approval for matters critical to the national interest.
“This International travel ban should apply to the entire Federal Cabinet, all heads of agencies, and all civil servants.
“This rule would not apply to External Affairs, Finance, and National Security.”
Bruce added that when the travel is authorised, officials must fly with Nigerian airlines unless there’s no available service on that route.
He also advised that international meetings should be conducted over Zoom.
