A former schoolmate, Ayati Orlu Bem Ayati, in a Facebook post on Saturday, said the deceased ran into the assailants while on the way to his village in Chito, Ukum Local Government Area to inform his people about his upcoming wedding.
One IorDookaan Jnr, wrote, “Sun set at dawn!!! The young man here, a sankera son, a young Benuelite, a young hard working Nigerian citizen. Today was suppose to be his wedding day, but guess what?his life was cut short by his kinsmen.
“Alas my brother, men who speak same tongue with you squeeze life out of you. You didn’t not die in a strange land but in your place of birth, who will console your Queen? Who will console your family?
“The lingering insecurity in our region have continued for years now, the present government of the Reverend gentleman, Fr H.I Alia should look into this deteriorating issue in Sankera.
“And to those who are the architect of our problem, may what you made happen in the life of the people happen to you, as you have made wives widows, children orphans and husbands widowers, may you experience same.
“To those my brothers who are bandits with arms, pls and pls these killings are taken us backward, no society can develop with such, investors are scared and running from our region. Pls let shield our swords for peace to reign in Sankera.”
