Gunmen Kidnap Catholic Priest, Three Others In Kaduna
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a Catholic priest and three others in Kaduna state.
The priest, Reverend Father Anthony Dawa was abducted by the gunmen from his residence in the early hours of Tuesday when they invaded Saint Pius Catholic Church Kushe Makaranta in Kagarko Local Government Area of the State.
The bandits also abducted the wife and son of the catechist of the parish and one other person during the operation.
The Catholic Archibishop in an interview with Channels Television explained that the bandits abducted Rev Fr. Anthony Dawa at his father’s house while the catechist’s wife and son were kidnapped in their house which is around the church.

He said that the kidnappers have not demanded any ransom laments the growing insecurity in the country which he notes has led to the death of many innocent citizens while several others are living in fear.
Although the police authorities are yet to confirm the incident, the Archibishop however, appealed to security agencies to facilitate the immediate rescue of the kidnapped victims.
He also called on the government to step up its responsibilities of protecting the lives and properties of the citizens before it is too late.
