Gunmen Behead Labour Party Chieftain In Abia

Gunmen have beheaded a Labour Party chieftain in Abia.

Glamtush reports that a chieftain of the Labour Party in Abia State, Mr Maduka Zachary has been murdered by yet-to-be-identified gunmen

This online platform understands that the slain party chieftain who served as Campaign Director General of LP in the Isuikwuato Umunneochi Federal Constituency during the last election was murdered at his residence in Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of the State.

The gunmen, according to reports, invaded the deceased’s residence on Wednesday, killed him and chopped off his head.

Efforts by Daily Post to get a reaction from the Abia State Police Command proved abortive as the Police Public Relations Officer, Maureen Chinaka could not answer her calls.

She also did not respond to text messages forwarded to her by our correspondent.

However, the President General of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), Goodluck Ibem confirmed the unfortunate development.

When contacted by Daily Post, Ibem who was unable to give details of the incident, simply said “The report is true”.
