GTCO Fashion Weekend 2023: Celebrating African Creativity, Style, Innovation

The GTCO Fashion Weekend 2023 thrilled fashion enthusiasts and stakeholders to two days of exciting fashion experience.

 

The fashion event which held its sixth edition on November 11 and 12 at the GTCenter Plot 1 Water corporation road, Oniru, Lagos showcased the best of Africa’s finest fashion to a global audience.

 

The GTCO Fashion Weekend is one of the main platforms of Guaranty Trust Bank for ‘Promoting Enterprise’ primarily to benefit its growing retail and SME customer base as well as support the indigenous Creative Industry.

The event featured stunning runway shows, presentation stage, a vibrant fashion shopping experience, captivating street-style exhibits, and insightful style masterclasses.

In keeping with tradition, this two-day event was not just about runway displays; it also featured a series of master classes covering diverse topics such as beauty, skincare, hair sculpting, and mental health from five experts – Julee Wilson, Sergio Hudson, Jawara, Jourdaan Dunn and Sir John.

 

Tailored for entrepreneurs and fashion enthusiasts, these masterclasses provided invaluable, informative and insightful insights.

Also, this year, fashion designers took turns to showcase creative, exciting and electrifying designs during the runaway shows. Each brand showcased a rich variety of textures, fabrics and designs.

So for the two days, fashion lovers witnessed meticulously curated collection of daring and captivating fashion statements from Africa’s top fashion brands like Theophilio, Banke Kuku, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Bruce Glen, Mazelle Studio and Huishan Zhang.

Others were Sukeina, Loza Maleombho, Torlowei, Duaba Serwa, Sergio Hudson and Laquan Smith.

The presentation stage had beautiful designs from designers like Rendoll, Ajobi, FIA Factory, Titi Bello, Y’wande lag and Lady Maker.

 

The event also had free stalls for over 140 fashion retailers. It also had vibrant colours, lively music, and a delightful ambience that crafted a multisensory and thoroughly gratifying experience for all attendees.
