Nigerian food content creator, Kikifoodies has shared her recipe for the delicious beans and tasty sauce meal popularly known as Ewa Agoyin.
The dish is made with beans which is cooked until it is extremely soft and then mashed. This delicious street food especially on Lagos streets is usually accompanied by a special palm oil spicy stew which is usually referred to as Ewa Agoyin stew.
And it is very easy to prepare at home. You can add your own twist to it if you want.
This street food is commonly eaten with bread. However, some people prefer to eat it with fried plantain.

- 2 cups honey beans
- 6 cups water

- ½ cup shombo (reduce the quantity if you don’t like it spicy)
- 3 large tatashe/bell pepper
- 2 medium size onions
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 crayfish seasoning cube
- 1 bouillon cube
- ¼ cup crayfish
