GT Beauty: 7 Home Remedies To Make Acne Scars Fade

As a teenager, it is almost impossible not to suffer from acne. However, that does not mean that you can still not suffer from acne at any age.

It is not suffering from acne that many people worry about but the scars it can leave behind even after the acne disappears. Most times, these scars are difficult to treat and for some people, it could be very embarrassing.

Here are 7 home remedies that will help make acne scars fade and eventually make your skin glow. However, you should bear in mind that these things will not help heal acne scars overnight.

Cucumber

Cucumber contains vitamins A and C and magnesium, which are good for our skin health, as well as help, heal acne scars. To help heal scars, cut a few slices of cucumber and place them over the scar area for 20-30 minutes every day. With time, the scars will be less visible.

Raw Honey

Raw honey helps moisturize the skin as well as reduce the appearance of acne scars. Daily massage the raw honey into the scar areas and patiently wait to see the gradual but steady improvement.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice contains natural ingredients that helps fade scars as well as rejuvenate the skin. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into a bowl, dab with cotton wool and place directly on the scars and leave to dry. Then wash off with lukewarm water. However, if your skin is sensitive, dilute the lemon juice with water before you use.

Potato 

Irish potatoes juice is good for fading scars. Take one fresh potato and cut it into slices and directly apply slices  to the affected skin area. Leave the potato slice for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

Egg white

Egg white contains amino acids which naturally helps scars to fade. Also, as a source of protein, it helps tighten the pores to avert new breakouts while it lightens the scarred skin. To aid in scar fading, whip up egg white, apply it to your face and leave to dry up and then thoroughly wash off with warm water. This should be done two to three times each week.

But, If your skin is very dry, you can use olive oil after washing your face with warm water.

Baking soda

Baking soda is a good ingredient to use for exfoliation. Simply mix a few spoons of baking soda with water to make a paste. Then, gently massage the affected area of skin with the paste for a few minutes and then wash off with warm water. After which you should moisturize because baking soda can dry out your skin a slight.

Aloe vera gel

Aloe vera is a natural moisturizer which contains many vitamins and minerals ideal for fading scars. For best result, cut aloe vera leaf, extract the gel, and apply it directly on your skin and leave on for 25 – 30 minutes for gel to soak into your skin. Then wash off with cool water.
