GT Beauty: 5 DIY Anti-Aging Face Mask Recipes

There is nothing anybody can do about aging; however, there are personal steps you can take to control aging signs.

One way in which you can keep at bay the early appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your face is to use face masks made from natural ingredients you have at home.

Here are five suggested DIY homemade face mask to help you control aging.

Apple, cucumber and Irish potato

Grate one Irish potato, one small apple and half medium size cucumber, and mix the three items together properly. Then, apply paste to your skin and leave on for 10 minutes. This face mask will help prevent fine lines and wrinkles appearing on your face, gradually remove age spots therefore leaving you with a bright and glowing complexion.

Egg white, olive oil and lemon juice

Combine one tablespoon of each of lemon juice and olive oil with the white of one egg and mix properly. Massage mask into your skin, and allow to dry for about 5 – 7 minutes, then, wash off with lukewarm water. This facial mask will nourish and brighten your skin.

Cucumber, lime juice and egg white

Grate half medium size cucumber, add a tablespoon of lime juice and mix it into a paste with one egg white. Apply to your face and allow to sit for 5 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water. This anti-aging facial mask will make your skin feel fresh and looking younger.

Honey and banana

Mash one banana and add one tablespoon of pure honey, mix properly. Then apply to your face and leave it on for 5 minutes before washing off with warm water.

A combination of banana and honey makes a great anti-aging facial mask because as you know banana helps to boost the production of collagen in the skin while honey has anti-bacterial properties.

Avocado, tee tree oil and honey

Mix one avocado with a tablespoon of pure honey and add four drops of Tea tree oil for a face mask that will reduce wrinkles, moisturize your skin and prevent acne.

Egg white, coconut oil and strawberry

Mash some strawberries and mix with one egg white properly, then add a tablespoon of coconut oil, mix well and apply to your face. You should leave on for about 5 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water. The natural, gentle acids in the strawberries will help to fight any bacteria, clear up acne and help to reduce the appearance of fine lines while the coconut oil will nourish your skin and also help fight any acne causing bacteria.
