Grammy: Davido Congratulates Tyla On Inaugural Best African Music Performance Win

Davido has congratulated Tyla on her inaugural Best African Music Performance winner at the Grammy.

 

Glamtush reports that Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke, known as Davido has felicitated South African female rapper, Tyla, for emerging victorious in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony held on Sunday, February 4.

Tyla’s song, ‘Water’ came top against ‘Amapiano’ by Asake and Olamide; ‘City Boys’ by Burna Boy. ‘Unavailable’ by Davido featuring Musa Keys; and ‘Rush’ by Ayra Starr.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner took to his X handle early Monday to express his joy, despite losing out on all three nominations.

“Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa! Big One for africa! Keep soaring!” the tweet read.
