The Guild of Professional Bloggers of Nigeria (GPBN) joins millions all over the world to celebrate our amazing women as they commemorate International Women’s Day, today, March 8.
This is contained in a statement signed by the association’s president, Adrian Egonu, and secretary, Femi Adeoya.
The statement reads, “It is no doubt a blessing that women are an integral part of this world and their contributions cannot be over-emphasized.
“Amongst the pioneer Guild of Professional Bloggers are formidable and reliable females who have made great marks and are still standing at par with their male counterparts.
“We recognise your roles and we cannot but celebrate our quality and reliable female professional bloggers all over Nigeria. These ones uphold the ethics of quality news reporting and would never be part of fake reports that GPBN frowns against.
“With the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day; “gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” #BreakTheBias, we at GPBN agree that women should be given the opportunity to prove their sterling qualities across board in all facets of life. As we all, males and females have great contributions to make for a better world.
“Once again we wish all women a very happy celebration.”
