“I and my brother Governors from Yobe, Niger, and Osun State were at the residence of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru to offer our condolences to his wife and family.

“He will be deeply missed for his selfless service and patriotic duty in Nigeria.

“May the Almighty Allah grant his family sabar (perseverance) in this difficult period and the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he wrote.

Oyetola also wrote on the visit, “As the nation continues to mourn the demise of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and other military officers onboard the ill-fated aircraft, I, today, joined my colleagues to pay a condolence visit to the wife and family members of the late Army boss.”
