Gov Diri Appoints BBNaija Star, Nengi As SSA On Girl Child
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has announced the appointment of the second runner-up of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Lockdown edition of the reality television show, Rebecca Nengi Hampson as his Senior Special Assistant (SSAA) on Girl Child.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Daniel Alabrah, confirmed Nengi’s appointment on Friday.
He said details of the governor’s gesture would be made known later.
She was also appointed as the ‘ Face of Bayelsa.’
Meanwhile, her former housemates have social media to congratulate her.
BBNaija Season 5 winner, Laycon, tweeted, “My SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT MA. MY SSA. YES MA; ANYTHING FOR YOU MA. CLEAR THE ROAD FOR THE SSA. @nengiofficial.”
The third runner-up of the show, Neo Mobor Akpofure also tweeted, “Omo my girl oo.. Senior Special Assistant to the Governor and Face of Bayelsa State. Congrats my sister @nengiofficial.”
Another housemate, Ozo, said via his Twitter account, “Congrats to @nengiofficial on your appointment for the position as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Face of Bayelsa State and Ambassador for the girl child Bayelsa state. Many more blessings.”
