Fun, Excitement As Tuface, Sir Shina Peters Wrap Up Nigeria Beer Festival

Fun and excitement filled the air on Sunday as the maiden edition of the Nigeria Beer Festival ended with a night of glamour with thrilling performances from Tuface and Sir Shina Peters at the Eko Atlantic City Waterfront, Victoria Island, venue of the one week event which held between September 25 to October 1.

The festival which was organised by On and One Event (001) Limited and supported by Lagos state government witnessed huge turnout of people and were thrilled to nights of entertainment and arrays of products from Nigerian Breweries, Guinness and Campari, among others.

It was lot of fun as the Lagos state cultural troupe showcased the rich heritage of the Lagos and Southwest through their command performance and costumes.

The mixed population from different countries were also treated to lyrics of latest Nigerian music by artistes with global reputation like Inoncent Idibia and Sir Shina Peters, a popular afro-juju artiste in the Southwest as well as ace comedians.

The performance by Tuface was exciting both to foreigners and Nigerians, and it was evident by their actions as they danced to the rhythms of his music.

The high point of the festival was the performance by the Afro Juju musicians Sir Shina Peter. There was jubilation as he reels hit tracks from his old album and the crowd couldn’t contain their joy but dance to his afro-juju music which filled the air.

Some foreign nationals showed their excitement by nodding their heads as Shina took them through memory lane into the night of total excitement.

While listening to Tuface and Shina’s music, Kelvin Lee, a Chinese, affirmed “I am very much excited and love Nigerian music, though l don’t understand Yoruba, l am carried away by Shina’s performance.”

The festival provided a perfect atmosphere to showcase fashion, lifestyle and culture, with various beer brands in the country connecting with existing and potential consumers.

The event ended with display of fireworks to the admiration of participants who affirmed that that the Nigeria Beer Festival is worthwhile and should be sustained.

In a remark, Akinola Oluwaleimu, General Manager of On and One Limited affirmed that the festival was indeed a carnival of entertainment, sales, tourism and a gathering of the largest community of beer consumers from across the country. He added that the one week event had added economic value for brands and the nation’s economy.
