FSARS Promises Collaboration In Fighting Smuggling

Poised to fight smuggling to a standstill, the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS) has promised continuous collaboration with the Nigerian police and other agencies to ensure that they fight smuggling both on water and land to a total stop.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Aduroja Akinola Olurotimi, said this while receiving an award  of excellence from Hevept Media International for his crime combat in Lagos recently. He also added that operatives of the F/SARS have taken over the land from criminals and smugglers so what they do now is to make use of the waterways.

He also lauded the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris Kpotum, for his continuous support and providing of adequate tools for them to work even as he commended Officer in Charge of F/SARS, Chief Supritendent of Police (CSP) Sanni Mohammed for the privilege he has given to the men of FSARS.

“First I will like to tell you that I am not permitted to talk to the press, I am not the PPRO and I have not been permitted to do so. But I will like to garnish the story that the naval operatives and the maritime operatives and the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad FSARS have to team up because of criminals. Now we have taken over the land from the criminals so what they do now is to make use of the waterways. There has been security meeting at the top indoor that is not supposed to be made known to the press but forces  have been on ground that even if they escape the waterways we will get them on the land. If they run to the land FSARS will get them.”

According to him, “the IGP after his resumption in office, promised to fight crime to zero tolerance, safety has therefore comes to stay through his efforts.  I also want to commend the officer in charge of F/SARS Lagos State, CSP Sanni Mohammed for his power and Privilege he has offered to the men of FSARS to carry out their tasks effectively”

He therefore seized the opportunity to applaud the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Edgal Imohimi for sweeping out crime from Lagos State, adding that the state has been peaceful since his resumption in office.

Olurotimi further appreciated his team for standing by him to tackle the menace, also thanked the Media for supporting them to disseminate their activities.

He however, dedicated the award to his boss, the IGP Idris, CSP Sanni Mohammed, CP Edgal Imohimi for their support in ensuring that the issue of crime is eliminated in the country.
