Reps have declared former President Buhari’s launch of Nigeria Air as a scam.
Glamtush reports that the alleged debut of Nigeria Air during the final months of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s outgone regime was called a fraud by the House of Representatives.
This online newspaper gathered that after the key participants in the agreement between the Federal Government and Ethiopian Airlines denied knowledge of the launch, Nnolim Nnaji, chairman of the House Committee on Aviation, proclaimed Nigeria Air’s launch to be a scam.
The committee rejected the Ministry of Aviation’s assertion that Nigeria Air was just showcased and not officially launched as a ploy to deflect lawmakers’ attention.
Members of the committee were shocked when NAMA disclosed that the aircraft bearing Nigerian colours was on a chartered flight to Nigeria.
Other stakeholders who confirmed the disclosure noted that a chartered flight could be painted in any colour and with any inscriptions.
