Finding The Perfect Fitness Programme Takes Getting to Know Yourself

Squeezing in some workout into your daily life is extremely important unless your profession is actually working out.

Although pretty much every exercise plan is bound to help you achieve a healthier, better-looking self, finding a program that fits you is the best way of achieving results; you will even grow to love your workout sessions if you find a perfect one!

Choosing the right fitness programme shouldn’t be taken lightly. So, here are things to bear in mind:

What do you want to achieve?

Firstly, you need to have a nice, long conversation with yourself. You need to ask yourself the right questions, but even more importantly, you need to give the right answers. For example, while “What do I want to achieve?” is a legitimate query, “I want to be skinny and ripped” isn’t going to help you achieve your goal. Be honest: what would you prefer: strength and endurance or the looks? If the former is what you are aiming at, decide whether you’d like to be able to lift heavy weights, or if the strength goal of your preference is of a more practical variety. If you are going for the looks, you’ll either want to be ripped and skinny or massive and buff. You definitely cannot have it all and, while strength and looks might be very much connected, that chunk will likely be too big for a single bite. So, for starters, choose a single thing you want to achieve.

Strength and endurance

If you’re in it for physical capabilities, it is likely that you are (and have been for your entire life) skinny. If not, you’re going to have more trouble with endurance and agility than with strength. Regardless of which category you fall under, if your goal is lifting huge weights at the gym, go there and ask around for some advice; gym rats are usually more than happy to help a novice aspiring weightlifter.
If you want strength and endurance for practical reasons, things are completely different. For example, mountaineering will give you much more strength, endurance and agility than jogging and free climbing will help you achieve all of the mentioned beyond what you can imagine! However, embarking on these activities is seldom done on a daily basis, for obvious reasons, which is why incorporating a fitness program with sprint HIIT routines

and other cardio activities is a smart choice.

Sculpting your body

The aesthetic aspect of a workout session should not be disregarded – health in general incorporates both its physical and spiritual aspects and until you’re satisfied with how you feel in your body, you will never be complete. The perfect fitness program for someone who’s looking to better their physical looks will incorporate the traditional combination of weightlifting and cardio exercises, so you can expect that you’ll be hitting the gym. It is important that you note that cardio sessions are important even if you are looking for a muscle increase!
At the gym, hiring a personal trainer is a great way to go. However, choosing the perfect gym wear that will ensure that you actually feel good while working out is of the utmost importance – you need to fully devote yourself to fitness, both mentally and physically, in order to achieve your goals.

Finding the right program

After you’ve set your mind to a certain of the mentioned categories, comes the period of experimentation. Unfortunately, there is no one way to find a perfect one for you. On the bright side, trying out a wide variety of different ones will help you get a perfect feel of what you and your body need!
Finally, do not stick to a single fitness plan for too long – your body will get used to it and you are likely to hit a plateau, which is why knowing when to change workout programs is of the essence! Experiment, research and, most importantly, be thorough; you never know when a certain workout plan might grow on you over time.
