The Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi and music legend, Tuface has both reacted to the suit filed against them and others over their involvement in the End SARS protests.

Glamtush earlier reported that an activist named Kenechukwu Okeke, instituted a criminal suit against 50 people including Burna Boy, Omojuwa, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Kanu Nwankwo, Aisha Yesufu, Deji Adeyanju, Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz, Yemi Alade, Idibia among others before the Federal Capital High Court in Abuja, FCT over the #EndSARS protests.

The case was instituted on Monday pursuant to sections 88, 109(a), 110(1)(c) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.

According to Okeke during the riot, his properties were destroyed and the defendants who promoted the #EndSARS protests must be brought to justice.

Okeke claimed that the offence was punishable under Section 97 (2) of the Penal Code Act, C53 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

Pastor Sam Adeyemi in a light-hearted response tweeted: “Who sent this guy to file this frivolous lawsuit?”

Also, reacting, Tuface in a statement through his manager Efe Omorogbe, described the suit as a mere social media trend.

“There’s no comment yet. We have not been served any paper. We have not received any formal summon.”

He added that they cannot respond to the charge until they receive a summon.

“We can’t respond to what is merely trending on social media until we receive a summon we can’t respond,” he added.
