Emir of Jama’are, Muhammadu Wabi has dies at 92.
Glamtush reports that the Emir of Jama’are in Bauchi State, Alhaji Muhammadu Wabi III is dead.
The Chairman, Jama’are Local Government Council, Alhaji Sama’ila Yusuf-Jarma, confirmed Wabi’s death to NAN on Sunday in Bauchi.
Yusuf-Jarma said that Wabi died at the age of 92, at about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday morning at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a ‘protracted illness.’
Wabi was installed emir in 1970 following the death of his father Muhammadu Wabi II.
The late emir is survived by four wives, 35 children and many grandchildren.
The remains of Wabi was laid to rest today at 2:00 p.m. in Jama’are town.
