EFCC Operative Takes Own Life In Abuja

EFCC operative has taken his own life in Abuja.

Glamtush reports that an operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Monday, committed suicide at his residence in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

This online news platform gathered that the deceased, whose identity has not been revealed, was a member of Course 5 of the anti-graft agency’s academy.

Speaking on the incident, the EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, told PRNigeria that an investigation was underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the sad incident.

He added that the agency was exploring possible factors, including mental health and family challenges, that may have contributed to the operative committing suicide.

Oyewale said the Commission would not issue any statement or release the operative’s name pending the conclusion of the investigation.
