Edo Governorship Election: Eight Times Primate Ayodele Warned Governor Obaseki (VIDEOS)

The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Edo, Monday Okpebholo has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the governorship election, causing an embarrassment for the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki, who is from the People Democratic Party (PDP).

The embarrassing loss of PDP and Governor Obaseki’s anointed candidate, Asue Ighodalo has been traced to the misdeeds of the incumbent governor, especially on the process of selecting Ighodalo as the party’s flagbearer which involved fighting stakeholders within the party and state to ensure his candidate emerges.

However, long before the primary election was held, Primate Ayodele, a renowned Nigerian prophet, had already warned Obaseki not to impose any candidate on the people as it may lead to a political embarrassment for him. The prophet who foretold Obaseki’s second term victory made it known that forcing a candidate on the party would lead to failure.

These were his words, “If Obaseki calms down and allows democracy to reign, his candidate will win but if he relies on his own understanding and undemocratically picks a candidate for PDP, they will lose and put an end to his political career.

“Obaseki should allow the best candidate to get the party ticket instead of enforcing anyone on the people. If he tries to force anyone as candidate of the PDP, votes will be sold to APC in the election.

“If he uses his selfish interest to do this thing, the PDP will go into oblivion in Edo state. Obaseki shouldn’t rely on his understanding or power to pick a candidate if not, he will fail.”

In another prophetic warning, Primate Ayodele warned Obaseki again not to allow his ambition destroy the chances of PDP in the election. He made it known that powerful forces are coming to hijack Edo state from PDP and the only way to savage the situation is by not anointing a candidate as it may lead to disappointment.

These were his words, “Obaseki’s anointed candidate will disappoint him. Fights cannot make PDP win the election, and Obaseki’s tussle will make the party fail.”

“He should consult properly before he concludes on the choice of an anointed candidate for the election. Obaseki needs to re-package and re-strategize his political techniques. His anointed candidate will find it difficult to win the election but he doesn’t see it now. His candidate may be knocked out of the way.

“Mighty hands are coming to hijack Edo from PDP and if Obaseki allows loopholes by forcing a candidate on the party, PDP will lose out.”

Unfortunately, Governor Godwin Obaseki started losing the governorship election the moment he decided to impose Asue Ighodalo on PDP, fighting his former deputy governor, Phillip Shuabu who had an ambition to become governor too, party stakeholders for his candidate to emerge. This no doubt is an indication that Obaseki failed to listen to Primate Ayodele’s warnings before the primary election.

After the primary election produced Asue Ighodalo, Primate Ayodele proceeded to warn Godwin Obaseki several times about the forces that will take away Edo from him, and shared with him strategies that would make him win the election for his candidate. The prophet maintained from the beginning that APC is out to take over Edo state and the PDP may lose if care isn’t taken.

He revealed that the PDP will not win the Edo governorship election unless Godwin Obaseki balances the situation.

‘’I am not seeing PDP emerging in Edo except they do all that is needed, otherwise, Obaseki’s candidate will be messed up. Except they quickly restrategize and balance the situation. If Obaseki doesn’t strategize and want to do it with his own political calculation, his candidate will be messed up.’’

In July during the presentation of his annual prophecy book titled Warnings To The Nations, Primate Ayodele made it known that if Governor Obaseki doesn’t negotiate with the powers that be, PDP will lose Edo state. He warned the governor to negotiate properly if he doesn’t want to lose the state.

These were his words, “In Edo election, sincerely, I am not bothered about calling me any name, If Obaseki doesn’t negotiate, they will ‘ighodlize’ them, and that’s the end. PDP will lose Edo disgracefully except they can quickly negotiate with the powers that be if not PDP will lose Edo.”

Earlier in September, Primate Ayodele revealed that the best candidate in the election is PDP’s Asue Ighodalo but if the party sleeps, election malpractices will give APC victory in the election.

These were his words:

‘’I am standing on my words that the best person for the people of Edo is PDP’s Asue Ighodalo but the point is if PDP sleeps, they will rig you out and heaven will not fall. The wrong person will be there and Edo will suffer……’’

Again in September, Primate Ayodele mentioned again that APC will do everything to take PDP out of the equation. He alerted the PDP to do everything possible to retain the state because the APC government will not help the state.

A day before the election, Primate Ayodele spoke again that the victory is for PDP but if they don’t wake up, APC will steal it from them. He called on Asue Ighodalo to wake up in order to avoid the impending election embarrassment.

Still before the election, Primate Ayodele called on PDP to show readiness for the election because APC is desperately ready for the election. He called on the ruling party to follow APC back to back to avoid being rigged out.

These were his words:

‘’…..Edo election, Nigerians have to be very careful, this is just the truth of what you should be expecting, it will be nothing to write home about. If PDP doesn’t follow APC back to back, they will rig you out and that’s why I have been telling you APC is ready to rig you out. They will do it if you are not ready. PDP should be ready technically, legally, and financially. APC is extraordinarily desperate.’’

In all, Primate Ayodele warned Governor Godwin Obaseki and PDP eight times before the primary election was even held. The decision of Godwin Obaseki during the primary election is the foundation for the election loss that just manifested yesterday.

The choice of candidate made several stakeholders withdraw support for the party and this greatly affected the chances of PDP in the election. The election malpractices that Primate Ayodele warned against also manifested yesterday and this was confirmed by the PDP governorship forum that had seen their party’s victory after counting on the IREV platform where results were uploaded to by the INEC only for the situation to change during declaration of results.

PDP’s loss is no doubt due to Governor Obaseki’s neglect of Primate Ayodele’s prophetic warning. If he had allowed democracy during the primary election, he may probably be singing a different song right now.

This is a huge lesson to those who love to ignore prophetic messages like this, God will not lie and no matter how smart humans think they are, God will always be ahead of them.

As regards the administration of APC in the state, Primate Ayodele has said in his prophecies that Edo will suffer greatly. Whether or not that will come to pass, let’s keep fingers crossed.
