Dr. Aisha Achimugu Bags Philanthropist Of The Year Award

Dr. Mrs Aisha Achimugu (OFR) is not one to hug the spotlights as her philanthropic acts have impacted millions of people and communities in Nigeria over the years. This recognition is richly deserved.

On Saturday, May 25th at the prestigious Eko Hotels and suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, Dr. Mrs Aisha Achimugu OFR received the Champions Newspapers 2024 Philantrophist of the year award presented by Brigadier general Mohammed Buba Maria (rtd) the chairman, National Dug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) during the newspapers annual awards ceremony to much fanfare and celebrations.

According to Dr Mrs Nwadiuto Iheakanwa, the Group Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Champion Newspapers Limited, Dr Achimugu came top in the keenly contested Heart of Gold category because of her remarkable philanthropy through the SAM Empowerment Foundation, a non-governmental organization focused on empowering women, youths, and children across Nigeria.

“As the founder and president of SAM Empowerment Foundation, you have ensured that numerous women, youth and children are empowered for greatness by implementing impactful programmes and projects.

“The outstanding qualities that have made you a pillar within your sphere of influence are strong ethics, integrity, discipline, self-confidence, selflessness, creativity, winning mentality and above all fear of God and positive attitude towards all that come your way.”

Keeping up with her generosity is a dauntless task so I will tell as much as possible what I have been able to follow and what I have learnt from research on the story of the titan that is Dr. Mrs Aisha Achimugu OFR.

Dr. Mrs. Aisha Achimugu is an industrialist, a philanthropist, a well-respected leader and highly revered business head born on the 22nd January 1974 to Capt. J.E. A & Mrs. Adole (Rtd.)

An astute businesswoman and industrialist, Dr. Aisha is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, FELAK CONCEPT GROUP. A technical and professional consortium consisting of about 8 active companies in various sectors and industries such as Engineering, Maritime, Oil and Gas, ICT Learning and Development, and various other leading sectors.
