Dowen College: Women Arise Demands Justice For Sylvester Oromoni

Women Arise has demanded justice for Sylvester Oromoni.

Glamtush reports that Women Arise has demanded for Sylvester Oromoni Jnr a student of Dowen College who died in a controversial manner.

This online platform recalls that the death of Sylvester Oromoni who had died in controversial circumstances led to the closure of the school by the Lagos State Government.

Women Arise in a statement by its President, Joe Okei-Odumakin titled, “Sylvester Oromoni Jnr. On our conscience,” said that the state government and the judicial system must all live up and not present the usual disappointment.

The statement read in part, “He would have been 12 on Dec 4. . Sylvester did not make it. He was murdered.

“There are so many questions to ask but the question of justice supersedes them all.

“Justice for Sylvester Oromoni jnr.

“We have once again sent very dangerous signal to the world. The last time, it was a misplaced school which went up in gas flames.

“Now, it is the murder of a twelve -year old, so easily!

“What would the law enforcement/judicial process do for closure?

“Are we going to get the names of the secondary school cultists? Probably the children of eminent people, who are by now running helter-skelter to fiddle with the process in order to cover up the deeds of their children.

“How do we redefine the school environment such that this crime does not define the school.

“We are so sad and we condole with the family of the Sylvester.

“We insist that the police, the state govt and the judicial system must all live up and not present the usual disappointment.

“After this, we must raise a concerted effort to ensure that we distinguish between the school and the deadly jungle.”
