Glamtush reports that Nollywood actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, who represents Surulere Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly and seeking another term, was on TVC Your View where he apologized to the youths and spoke about his comments on the End SARS issue.
When asked by Morayo if that would continue to be in play, especially since its political period, Desmond Elliot while speaking, said forgiveness is divine and he doesn’t think going back to bring out those sensitive moments will do anything, as at the end of the day, he has apologized and still apologizing to those who misconstrued what he said as he did so due to emotion.
Speaking on how that affected him, the Honourable said “But in the end, it still didn’t take away the fact that the hatred is too much. We are all built on love, changing things by love”.
According to him, he has been in politics for 8 years and still stands on the fact that love conquers all even when he goes out on the streets, people still curse at him, but he’s not afraid or ashamed because they don’t understand the stress.
