Cross River Lawmaker, Godwin Akwaji Allegedly Dies Of COVID-19

 

 

Godwin Akwaji, a lawmaker in Cross River State is dead.

He passed on after showing symptoms of COVID-19.

Akwaji died Thursday afternoon at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) Isolation Centre.

He was said to be diabetic and exhibited fatigue, fever, cough, and breathlessness.

The deceased represented Obudu constituency at the House of Assembly.

Cross River has repeatedly claimed that the State is free of coronavirus.
