COVID-19: The Journey To Normalcy Has Started- Pastor Adeboye

Referring to the lockdown caused by the global pandemic, Coronavirus that is ravaging the world, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has stated that Nigerians should not forget to give glory to God as the journey to normalcy has started.

He stated that the journey to normalcy will be gradual but steady during his Sunday live online ministration from the studio of Dove Media.

The man of God said; “I believe that the return journey to normalcy has started. And I am believing God that your pastors will soon return to their normal duties. Maybe at most, I will spend one more Sunday with you after which the pastors will be back to their duty post.”

“The return journey to normalcy might not be very rapid or sudden. It might be gradual but it will be steady. I sincerely hope though that when the battle is over, we will remember to give all the glory to God.”

He also commended the efforts of the government for doing everything it can to curtail the pandemic while also advising the government to include spiritual leaders in their committee in the future to handle the spiritual side of any situation.

“We thank God for the government for all the efforts they have made. I believe they have done creditably well because they have had to deal with a situation the kind they have never seen before. But I will probably humbly suggest just as a Nigeria that may be in the future, they will include in all their committees’ men of God – chief Imams and Archbishops so that they can help them with the spiritual aspect of this warfare. And I sincerely do hope that we will all admit that it is not our wisdom, abilities, planning that have given us whatever victory we have already gotten. And we need to return all the glory to God. We need to really give all the glory to God because we don’t want the victories that we have won so far to be reversed. If you ask any doctor they will tell you that the most difficult cancer to handle is the cancer that relapses. We don’t want a relapse of this scourge.”

“Like I said at the very beginning, this coronavirus by the special grace of God will recede but it is not going to disappear 100%.”

Pastor Adeboye also advised Nigerians to pray against fire outbreak. “Please pray against fire outbreaks and floods. So after the lockdown clear your gutter,” he stressed.

He also advised members to postpone any journey abroad that is not essential to be suspended until everything is alright again.
