COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 1,354 New Cases In Nigeria, Total Now 92,705
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 1,354 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 92,705.
The NCDC disclosed this on its verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.
“On the 5th of January 2021, 1354 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria.
“Till date, 92705 cases have been confirmed, 76396 cases have been discharged and 1319 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
Lagos reported a record 712 new infections while the FCT reported 145.
Also, Plateau State recorded 117 new cases while Kwara State recorded 81 new cases.
Equally, Kaduna State reported 54 new infections while Sokoto State reported 39.
Others are from Oyo-38, Rivers-36, Gombe-21, Enugu-20, Akwa Ibom-16, Bauchi-14, Delta-14, Ebonyi-13, Anambra-9, Taraba-8, Edo-8, Kano-3, Osun-2, Ekiti-2, and Ogun-1
While 76,396 patients have recovered, 1,319 fatalities have been recorded.
