COVID-19: GTCO To Ban Unvaccinated Staff From Entering Premises, Cut Salary

Due to the rise in COVID-19, GTCO is set to ban unvaccinated staff from entering its premises.

Glamtush reports that Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) has issued a deadline to its staff to complete their COVID-19 vaccination or face work restriction and a salary cut.

In an internal memo issued on Monday, the bank said any staff that failed to have a complete vaccination will face sanctions.

“Please be informed that starting October 2021, any staff that fails to comply will no longer be allowed into the bank’s premises and may be placed on half salary.”

It stated that the administration of the first dose of Moderna for unvaccinated persons and the second dose of AstraZeneca for those who have received their first doses is still ongoing nationwide.

“To this end, all staff have been mandated to ensure they receive their vaccines in their various locations on or before 30th of September 2021.”
